We are a traditional bookshop located in the historic village of Finedon in Northamptonshire, selling second-hand and new (to order) books in our shop and on-line. Most subjects covered including Art, Antiques, Biographies, Children’s Books, Cookery, Gardening, Film & TV, History, Hunting, Local Interest, Plays, Poetry, Science Fiction, Sport, Text Books, Travel & Topography, Maps & Prints et cetera.
We buy books too.
We are always looking for good new stock and are happy to buy anything we can use (subject to inspection). So give us a call or bring your unwanted books in to us.

Come and browse!
With over 11,000 books in stock the best way to view them is to come in for a browse. We also serve free coffee! So if you want to lose yourself among thousands of books on all sorts of interesting subjects then do please pop along. While we have great stocks of very reasonably priced paperback fiction and crime fiction, we also focus on the more serious side with a very good selection of history, military, biography, art and other reference books. These books are selected by us to ensure that customers are presented with books (in most part) they probably won’t see in the large chain-shops. In short, we offer something different.
There is plenty of free parking outside the shop.

Our crime section is bursting with great reads, from the modern punchy Lee Child to the more sedate Agatha Christie, along with many of the rarer vintage crime from the 20s, 30s, 40s & 50s.
